Cocktail of the week: Ginger Daiquiri April 15, 2021
We’re loving a Ginger Daiquiri right now, our twist on this much-loved classic. Here’s the recipe to up your bartending skills at home for garden parties or you’ll find it on our new Spring cocktail menu.
For serious flavour, add ginger liqueur or, if you prefer a longer drink, top it up with ginger beer for rum punch vibes.
To make your syrup:
Boil 2 cups of water with a thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated, and a stalk of lemongrass, chopped, for 20-30 minutes.
Strain the infused water.
Add 2 cups of sugar and boil gently until all sugar has dissolved.
You’re ready to get making your cocktail!
To make your cocktail:
Add all the cocktail ingredients into your chosen shaker – tupperware or jam jar will do if you don’t have a fancy shaker.
Shake hard with lots of ice.
Strain into a martini glass and serve straight up.
Garnish with a lime wheel.
